Practice mindfulness each week with a fun group of folks over at Geekdom in the Tron Conference Room. Why Mindfulness? - People who practice mindfulness experience less stress, anxiety and depression. What is MIndfulness? - Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. How does it work? - We will have a short lesson on an aspect of mindfulness followed by a practice where we will be led in a short meditation. Why should I come? - You deserve vacation for your mind!
